
Expanded polypropylene (EPP) is an engineered plastic foam material. By combining polypropylene resin with magic dust, and applying heat, pressure and CO2 in an autoclave, the material is formed into small plastic beads. These small, closed-cell foam beads are injected into a steam chest to create parts custom moulded into complex shapes using steam heat & pressure.
Expanded polypropylene is a foam material made from expanded, predominantly closed-cell foam particles and is ideal as a raw material for foam parts with a range of applications, in which both a light weight and a good thermal insulation are in demand, or light weight is necessary in connection with high impact absorption.
EPP raw material is available in various types and colors. These are coordinated in particular with specific applications regarding thermal and mechanical characteristics.
